Jocelyn has the unique ability to connect with students of all ages and skill levels, fostering a love of music that extends far beyond the classroom. My son enrolled for her piano classes in June, 2021 at the age of 6, and in 3 month's time, his fingers were gliding like butter on a pan on the keyboard. Friends and family thought he was playing for 2 years. He is 9 years old now and continues to enjoy learning more about the instrument. This level of achievement is only possible when you have the right mentor by your side. Her teaching style is engaging, inclusive, and tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. Jocelyn possesses a deep understanding of music theory and history, and her enthusiasm is contagious which makes kids connect with her and her lessons.

My daughters have been students of Jocelyn Olson for over 3 years. During this time, I have only been impressed with Ms. Olson’s teaching style and professional business skills. Ms. Olson created a beautiful music studio- a space that is conducive to learning and well organized. She is thoughtful with details-including a coffee and tea bar and comfy seating. She has always gone above and beyond to make sure her students feel welcomed and comfortable. This creation of a warm atmosphere is a desirable quality for us when choosing music studios. Our family started music lessons in the post-covid era where local businesses and schools were still going through intermittent and unpredictable shutdowns. Ms. Olson has been consistent with lessons due to her intelligent use of technology. Ms. Olson utilized technology well to do lessons in our home via the computer/skype. Our children did not fall behind thanks to her skills with the computer and phone.
